Hello South Park neighbors and Stockbox customers,
When we opened Stockbox South Park Grocery 2 years ago, it was our goal to build a network of stores to improve access to good food and offer a space for neighbors to gather. Throughout our time in South Park, we have worked to build our customer base and respond to the needs of the community. And through this process, we have learned a lot about what it will take to scale the Stockbox model – in inventory design, community selection, and store size – all while staying true to our mission.
In order for us to continue to expand with the format that we feel best represents Stockbox’s commitment and potential, we have made the difficult decision to close the South Park store, so we can focus further on developing our model by expanding products and services at our First Hill location, before growing our network of stores.
We are grateful to our staff who have been true ambassadors of Stockbox’s mission and vision in the store and in the community. We also are grateful to the loyal customers and neighbors who have supported Stockbox as patrons and friends, and who have helped and challenged us to continually learn. We are proud of our time as business owners in South Park and move forward with a deep appreciation of the partnerships that has helped us grow.
We invite our customers and neighbors to stop by the South Park store this week to find great deals as we prepare to sell down our inventory. Discounts on remaining products will be increased as we near our closing date of August 17th.
In addition, as a thank you to our loyal Neighbor Rewards members in South Park, we’ll be converting each of your Neighbor Rewards points to a $1 credit for use in the store. For example, if you have already accumulated twelve (12) points in your Neighbor Rewards account, you may exchange them for $12 off your purchase. As of today, new transactions will no longer accrue new Neighbor Rewards points.
With much appreciation,
Carrie Ferrence & Jacqueline Gjurgevich
